"Make your life a long term passion project” - Sara Hanna

MEET OUR FOUNDER

Sara Hanna

It all began with a dream to help, following extensive learning, personal growth, mindset development, and ultimately gaining self-confidence, I made the courageous decision to take a leap of faith and embark on this journey and start Inspire Counselling Services.

The inspiration behind “inspire”, is simple- to support people in identifying what inspires them. The word "inspire" is often associated with positive emotions such as hope, enthusiasm, and motivation. Inspiration is the primary instrument for resilience. From my years of practice, as well as personal experience, I have come to recognize that in spite of any obstacles one might face, there is often an element of inspiration that motivates people to achieve and accomplish any goals that bring the best out of them.

At Inspire Counselling, our goal is to support you in finding or planting that seed of inspiration.

FAQs

  • If you are ready to book your first therapy appointment, you can send us an email at info@inspirecounsellingservices.ca (Please check your spam folder for our reply). We will have a quick chat to discuss your counselling needs and book you in. Once we find a time that works for you, we’ll send an email with a link to our online portal where we have some documents for you to complete before you come in. This is so you and your therapist are not spending your first appointment doing paperwork together!

  • Therapists have their own styles, and initial sessions focus on understanding your unique story, by doing a biopsychosocial spiritual assessment, which provides a holistic approach to understanding your situation. Building trust and ensuring your comfort is a priority. Discussions about goals follow, creating a flexible roadmap to guide you through accomplishing your goal. Adjustments can be made as needed, and our therapists are here to support and empower you, valuing your feedback throughout the process.

  • Unfortunately, counselling is not currently covered under OHIP. We would encourage you to check your health benefits, as most employers provide coverage for counselling.

  • If you are in need of immediate assistance, please contact 911, your nearest urgent care centre, the "The Mental Health and Addiction Crisis Centre, located at 648 Huron Street at (519) 434-9191 (London, Ontario), Reach Out 24/7 (519) 433-2023 24-hour phone crisis assistance or Talk Suicide Canada at 1-833-456-4566 (or text them at 45645), your safety matters to us!

Insurance and Benefits

Our services can be covered under most health insurance plans that cover the services of a Registered Psychotherapist, and Registered Social Worker. It is your responsibility to call your insurance provider prior to your first session to determine the details of your coverage. Please note that we are not able to bill your insurance company directly. Payment will be due at the time of your appointment and a receipt will be provided to you with a detailed receipt you can submit to your insurance company.

Questions you can ask your insurance provider include:

  • Do they cover Registered Psychotherapists or Registered Social Workers?

  • What is the total amount of coverage you have left for the year (e.g., $1000/year)?

  • How much is covered per session (e.g., 100%, up to a certain amount, etc.)?

  • What details are required on the receipt?

  • Are your family members included in the coverage?

  • Is a physician’s referral/note required?

From the very first session, I felt a sense of relief as I was able to openly discuss my concerns and emotions in a safe and non-judgmental space. This is important to everyone in my opinion. Sara does a great job of this. I’ve worked with her for approximately 2 years, and I feel like I’m speaking to a long childhood friend. Sara has helped me improve my patience to stay calm, cool, and collected in different situations that arise in my life. This is important to me to help set the foundation for my family and self-development in life”

— SHANE, INSPIRE COUNSELLING CLIENT

“It took me a bit over a year to find the courage to go back to college and I don't regret that decision one bit - or how long it took me to get where I am. Allowing myself the time to heal, discover myself once again, and learn from Sara, helped me become more at ease and sure of myself. It also made me realize that you don't have to be silent and endure things by yourself. There is always someone out there who is willing to listen and understand you.”

— PAULA, INSPIRE COUNSELLING CLIENT
